The Long Anticipated Day Has Arrived!!!! LEG DAY!

Today was the BIG day!!!

The LEGS ARE DONE!!!!!

Elizabeth woke-up beyond excited.  Yes, she wanted to know, 'HOW MUCH LONGER?!'

AND

She asked that question LOTS!!!

She was so excited about the new dress, new shoes, pretty hair and she wanted glitter everywhere -- hair, face, arms and lips :)

Of course, BaJabs joined in on the excitement BUT it wasn't the same over the top enthusiasm that Elizabeth had!!!

Thankfully, because of the rain -- even though it was a small amount --- Matt was able to go with us.  

I think he just wanted to make sure that the camera and video camera would be used to chronicle the

BIG DAY!!!

The 2 girls, Matt and I left for GR in the car.  

The girls even ate Lunchables in the car.  They wanted to get going!!!

We arrived in GR an hour later and made our FINAL walk/hop into the office without a LONG leg!

Up to the 3rd floor ---

We were called back to the room almost immediately!  When we sat down Elizabeth can barely control her excitement!!

BUT

BaJabs leg was first -- 

BaJabs was fixing her socks to be just right.

AND

She put it right on!

And off she went!

All smiles!  She LOVES it!  It really is a BEAUTIFUL leg!!!

You can see it in the background.  BUT she put it on so fast -- there are NO pictures of her slipping it on because Matt was using the video camera.  I will try to upload it later :)

Walking some more.  They are making sure there are NO hot spots!  We did not want there to be any sore spots right off the bat.

We had to do a tad more measuring as the fake foot is a tiny bit smaller than her real foot.

This was Elizabeth's first chocolate shake -- she's in love :)

We brought daddy home and went back into town to get pedicures.  Yes, we were totally making it a special day!!  BECAUSE it is special. 

SHE CAN WALK!!!

The legs are BEAUTIFUL!!!!

This place -- 3T Nails -- was AWESOME!!!  The did not bat an eye at the prosthetic legs or lack of toes and fingers.  They just pampered them up!!!  The girls were in heaven.

They even got their fingernails done -- and dried like mommy!

Today was a FABULOUS day!!  The girls are IN LOVE with their new legs.  

YES, I made the cute outfits.  BaJabs wanted the skirt with matching top -- and due to NO power last night -- until 1:45 am -- I did not finish until 2:45 am.  YES, I'm CRAZY -- BUT I knew I would not have time in the morning so I got up when the power came back on and finished!

She picked out the fabric and what she wanted me to do with it and 

TAAADAA .... 

She LOVED it!

Elizabeth also picked out the fabric and design of her dress.  She stood over my shoulder while I was sewing it.  She was soooooo excited.  Her fabric was a bit bright --- but really, I ended up LOVING it!

AND

So does she!  AND really that was the most important thing!
