Today was our 'check-up' with Dr. F in GR.
OF COURSE, the weather turned nasty as we were leaving.
We followed the heaviest snow fall 45 of the 60 miles to GR.
I finally turned my Ipad on in Muskegon and read because I was stressing!!!
Oh, Matt was driving :)
We arrived right on time --
The main reason for the appointment was for
BaJabs to have x-rays to be assured that the pins were still IN place.
We had some nice reading time while waiting :)
We were able to view the x-rays --
Thankfully, the pins are exactly where they are suppose to be.
This is a nice view of before and after. The pict. on the left with the pins is the straight bone AFTER surgery. The pict. on the right is the bone BEFORE surgery.
She is healing nicely!!
Her pain is still there BUT getting better.
She still needs to have her leg elevated or it gets sore.
We go back in 4 weeks -- as long as this cast STAYS ON!!!
When we return the cast will come off, the pins come out, the mold for a NEW leg, and a NEW cast will go back on for at least 2 more weeks.
Yep, that will be a LONG appointment!!!
AND
She can return to school on Monday! WOW!!!
Thankfully, after the hour long appointment the snow line was gone -- the drive home was less eventful.
We made a few farm stops but made it home for dinner!
Bajabs just wanted to be at home :) AND after being gone for 1/2 of the day she was experiencing some leg pain -- nothing a little pain meds couldn't help --- and she was off to bed early!
Hopefully, mom will be there soon as well!
Thank-you to all that have prayed for her!
Our God has been merciful to her and our family!!!
Pain control has been good and the surgery is working at this point!
Please continue to pray that the pins STAY in place and that her pain will be GONE!
