Hospital Day #2

Today was a day with many highs and a few lows.

Elizabeth is making progress.  Actually, LOTS of progress.

The doctors came in around 8 am and pulled the drain.  She really didn't like that BUT it had to be done.  Oh, and don't worry they gave her something for the pain BEFORE they pulled it!  After that she was able to get some things disconnected.  She ate some pancakes and bacon.  She drank some milk.  Mommy has to feed her because the IV was put into the only hand she can eat with.

She could finally get out of those scrubs.  She wanted to get dressed -- NOT PJ's -- but REAL clothes.

Isn't she beautiful?!!

Matt left to go back to the farm as the asparagus has finally decided to grow -- haha -- it's finally warm :)
My parents arrived and she was so excited.  She LOVED the Hello Kitty they brought her :)  My dad and I went to lunch and my mom and Elizabeth stayed back.  My mom got her to eat a TON.  They also made some laps around the floor in the wheelchair and even went to play a bit in the small playroom.

She loves playing in the kitchen.
Hello Kitty HAD to ride with her.
They probably did a tad too much as afterward we had some issues with pain.  The leg seems to spasm after being in the wheelchair -- BUT she still asks to be in the chair.  CRAZY!

She napped about 2 1/2 hours.

She is so precious!
Shortly after she woke the girls arrived.  YES, she was so excited.  We went and met them in the lobby!  The girls were SO excited.  I LOVE how they check her out and ask questions.  They wanted to take care of her.  They pushed her in the wheelchair and helped her do everything.  PRECIOUS!

Of course, My Darling took over as driver :)

BaJabs held her hand just about everywhere we went.

We went to the BIG playroom.  They had so much fun.  Elizabeth LOVED it.  There were lots of smiles.  She did get out of the wheelchair and maneuver around on the floor without me.

Again, in the kitchen.  They made us some delicious food ;)

All 3 playing dress-up!
We also went and got some dinner.  She ate little of her meal and nibbled on all of ours but really didn't eat much tonight.  She was really starting to slow down.  BUT then all the characters from STAR WARS showed up.  I was so surprised but all the girls really wanted to go and see them.  So, we did.

They were so excited.  My Darling is still taking care of Elizabeth.

The characters looked WONDERFUL.  BUT they were so great with kids.  They took so much time talking and CARING about not just my girls but all the kids on the floor that came out.  They came and invited each room to come out.  It was GREAT!

They look GREAT!
When we came back she was really tired.  So, we did all the get ready for bed things -- bathroom, change clothes and arrange in bed.  BUT all of this was a bit much.  It took some time to get caught up on the pain.  She was actually pretty miserable.  FINALLY, after a couple of hours the pain is under control and she is sleeping peacefully!!!

I LOVED having my parents come and visit.  I LOVED having all the girls down here.  I was sad that the boys were unable to come.  BUT I have sick boys.  MD did go back to school but still isn't feeling great.  JM woke this morning with the flu AND was still throwing up tonight.  MD has an earache.  AND my cold is settling down -- but in my chest.  PLEASE pray for healing for all of us AND that Elizabeth is protected from all of it!!!  YES, Matt and My Darling have already had the sickies; BaJabs is at the end of her cold BUT has NOT had the flu.  We would really LOVE to have a 'well' home.

The five girls.  Of course my three AND Lauren AND the princess she is carrying in her womb :)
We are looking to come home tomorrow as long as our night goes ok.  She is doing well.  We would just really like her to notice the pain at a 3 or 4 and NOT wait until it is a 10!!!

AGAIN, thank-you so much for all of your prayers.  It is so appreciated!!

Praises:
  1.  Elizabeth is healing.
